With over 8 years of advertising, retail and hospitality experience under her belt prior to committing full-time to New Growth in 1988, Jody continues to bring innovation, creativity and most importantly a level of service unprecedented in the industry.  Jody’s leadership and management style promotes teamwork and attention to detail on all accounts and raises the bar for the company’s expectations to deliver above and beyond every time.  Jody has managed all aspects of special event production for over 25 major community festivals and celebrations and corporate events.  She has handled venue negotiations and has worked closely with a variety of government agencies in numerous cities in the State of Washington. Her opinions and input regarding special events continues to increase each year as cities attempt to better understand the business and support the benefits that events bring to any community.  Jody’s innovative approach to advertising and marketing for special events won numerous awards from both the International and Washington Festivals & Events Association.  Many of these strategies have since been successfully adopted by other regional events. Jody believes that flexibility, creativity, superior service and dedication will continue to be an integral part of a winning formula for success in an ever-changing business environment.";

text[1] = "Bjorn Estlund began his production career as an audio engineer while attending the University of Oregon in 1994.  He has mixed front of house and monitors for many venues and festivals including The Wild Duck Music Hall, The McDonald Theater, The Cuthbert Amphitheater, The NW String Summit, The Eugene Celebration, and The High Sierra Music Festival.  In 2001 he started shifting his focus to festival production and helped found the Dexter Lake Music Festival, taking on the roles of sponsorship director, production manager, and talent buyer.  Since 2002 he has been working in production for events such as Bumbershoot, The Up-Fronts, Golden Globes, NW Folklife, The Bite of Seattle, The Willamette Valley Folk Fest, The Taste of Tacoma, The NW Wine and Jazz Festival, String Cheese Incident Summer Camp, The Whole in One Festival, and countless others.  In 2004 Bjorn entered the world of broadcast production, specifically sports television.  He served as a technical manager for CSTV, ESPN, and ESPN International for two years, and supervised the broadcasts for NCAA football, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, and volleyball.  He also served as a technical producer for the Serie del Caribe in Mexico and Venezuela, The French Open at Roland Garros, The US Open at Flushing Meadows and he has engineered the Technical Operations Center for Alpine Skiing at the Winter Games in Turin, Italy, Women’s Softball at the Summer Games in Beijing, China, and currently Speed Skating at the Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C.  Bjorn still remains active in many of the projects he has been with for the past decade, but his focus is now on New Growth Event Solutions.  He combines technical knowledge with the managerial and communication skills that are paramount to the event industry.  He can’t wait for the next challenge.";

text[2] = "Brett has a unique combination of skills with a proven track record of exceeding sponsorship sales goals, creating and managing marketing plans as well as extensive experience in graphic and event design and production.  Brett is business partners with Jody and oversees all sponsorship sales efforts for company, which includes our core events as well as selling sponsorship on a contract basis through New Growth for other events such as Tacoma Tall Ships, The NW Folklife Festival and Kent Cornucopia Days. In addition to heading up sponsorship, Brett also oversees and ensures all sponsorship fulfillment is met or exceeded for each event.  Before joining New Growth Event Solutions and Festivals Inc, Brett worked in the agency business as a business owner and Creative Director as well as a Division Director for the Creative Group Seattle.  Brett has won numerous sales and design awards throughout his career and uses all of his experience and skills daily in a diverse working environment.  Brett graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with an emphasis in Advertising and Graphic Design from the University of Idaho. He loves the outdoors, has a can do approach to life and business and enjoys using his diverse background to develop creative solutions for both sponsors and events.";

text[3] = "Cindy is responsible for advertising and marketing for all company-owned events, including Bite of Seattle®, Taste of Tacoma® and Oktoberfest Northwest. She also develops media packages for client events such as Kent Cornucopia Days, and serves as the media lead for the Northwest Folklife Festival. Cindy handles all press, acts as the media spokesperson for all core events and works directly with all on-site news coverage. Cindy manages and authors all event Web sites and oversees all aspects of wine tasting events. In addition to her media-related responsibilities, Cindy is a Senior Event Manager overseeing various aspects of the events including but not limited to staff training, area management, move-in, and restaurant relations. Cindy is a graduate of Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow School of Communication. She started as an intern for New Growth and has worked for the company since 2001. Cindy enjoys playing chef and brings a different and creative perspective to each project..";

Through collaboration with the NGES team, the sponsoring company and vendors Anisa helps NGES provide a professional, fun, and beneficial experience to our sponsors.  Prior to joining NGES Anisa worked for McCann Erickson’s LCI Seattle as a broadcast media buyer on accounts such as, General Motors, Washington Mutual, Lowe’s, and Nestle. A graduate of Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow School of Communication Anisa cut her teeth at Edelman PR working on Microsoft’s PC games division and the launch of the X-Box and at DDB Seattle on McDonalds and the Cirque du Soleil Saltimbanco tour.";

Before joining the New Growth team Kristen was an Operations Manager for a private special events company, Waterfront Hospitality LLC.   Kristen started as an intern at New Growth in 2007 and became a full-time employee shortly after she graduated from the University of Washington in 2008 with a double major in Economics and Communication.  Kristen has a passion for the events industry and looks forward to new challenges and opportunities.  Unprecedented work ethic, attention to detail and passion on the job make Kristen an outstanding leader in event production.";

text[6] = "Heather is responsible for all of our financials, as well as onsite cash handling, cashier training and vendor check-out. She also oversees cash flow, produces budgets and has created systems to better manage our on-site finance positions to ensure proper checks and balances. Before coming to New Growth Heather spent time in a variety of industries including fashion design, direct mail advertising and temporary staffing. As a bookkeeper in these fields she has learned a variety of skills including inventory control, overseas wire transfers, product purchasing and database/production management. Working for mostly small companies she is used to wearing many hats and jumping in where it is needed from writing orders to stuffing envelopes. She brings her attention to detail and organizational skills along with over 6 years of experience to the New Growth team.";
